In this classic RPG, only a chosen warrior can save the kingdom of Dragonia from falling into darkness. Unless the brave swordsman Trykaar can fight through a perilous labyrinth and retain the Holy Goblet from a terrible dragon, all hope will be lost. As you journey through the ever-changing mazes, you will find new weapons and armor to equip yourself with as you face the monstrous hordes within. Only the most dedicated warriors will make it to the 30th level of the labyrinth.

- Fatal Labyrinth is an early example of a roguelike game, similar to Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer, also published by SEGA.
- The labyrinth layout is randomly generated, so the mazes will be different each time you play the game.
- Unlike most RPGs, gold is not used here to purchase new items and weapons. Instead, the wealthier you are, the better quality funeral you will be given when you die.
